Run all the miles
Count all the dogs
If you are reading this on November 1 or later, my Christmas playlists have started, and I will not apologize. The Kivii tree will be up soon as well. Deal with it. I DESERVE CHEER.

October Creation
Weddings. Engagement photos. Boudoir. October doesn’t have much time for non-paying work. But here are a couple favorites:
October Consumption
Books
Looks like I will not be reading anything but Cosmere for the rest of the year. Just over a month until Wind and Truth, and I have 3.5 Sanderson books to finish in that time.
Television
Nobody Wants This - I am a millennial woman and so I obviously binged this as soon as humanly possible. Veronica Mars + Seth Cohen = heart eyes. Netflix
English Teacher - another fun binge. Brian Jordan Alvarez is hysterical. FX via Hulu
Disclaimer - short disclaimer about disclaimer: it’s not over yet, so TBD on whether it sticks the landing. But it is BEAUTIFUL. Cinema great Alfonso Cuarón wrote and directed, and he worked with Bruno Delbonnel and Emmanuel Lubezki, two incredible cinematographers. This show is a dramatic psychological exploration with unreliable narrating and a star studded cast. Apple TV+
Speaking of Apple TV+, the new season of Shrinking is out, and Brett Goldstein is playing a new character in addition to writing/producing.
Movies
Made up for a slow August/September with 7 movies in October. Nothing 5 star though. Closest to a 4 star was My Old Ass starring Aubrey Plaza. I’m hoping November will shine a bit brighter. I’m hoping to see Nickel Boys, Conclave, Babygirl, The Brutalist, Blitz, and Gladiator 2. Who know which will actually make it to a local theater though.
October in the Kivii Life
Running. Lots of running. We ran a local half marathon a couple weeks ago, so the first half of the month was final preparation for that. I did get my best half marathon time though, so that’s exciting. Major thanks to John for pacing me to that PR.
I also early voted and I hope you did too, or have your plan in place for election day.
As I write this we’re getting ready to head to FL to run MORE miles. The RunDisney Wine & Dine race weekend is here, so we’ll be up well before the sun for a 10k on Saturday and a half marathon on Sunday.
Finally, regular season basketball starts REAL SOON and I am amped. Basketball season is really the only time I miss twitter. That or new Star Wars content.
